Provide safe and comprehensive care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Scrubs, set up sterile fields, and maintain aseptic technique throughout the surgical process.
Assist surgeons with procedures, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and anticipate patient needs.
Document patient care thoroughly and accurately in the electronic medical record system.
Maintain a calm and professional demeanor in high-pressure situations.
Collaborate effectively with surgeons, other nurses, and anesthesia professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Participate in unit-based education and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of Massachusetts.
Minimum of 1 years of experience in the Operating Room (OR) setting (more preferred).
Proven ability to prioritize, multitask, and work effectively under pressure.
Excellent critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
Experience with sterile technique and aseptic practices is essential.
Familiarity with specific surgical procedures and anesthesia protocols is a plus.
BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is a plus.
